About Henriette O’Bryan
Menopause-Informed Counsellor

Menopause counselling for anxiety, low mood, overwhelm and hot flush support
My name is Henriette O’Bryan, and I’m a qualified menopause-informed counsellor specialising in anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, sleep disruption and hot flush support for women in midlife.
I am based near Bridgwater in Somerset, UK and offer online menopause counselling to women across the UK. Limited in-person appointments may be available locally by arrangement, but most sessions take place online, making support accessible without travel.
My experience of menopause and interest in menopause mental health
Having navigated my own experience of menopause symptoms — including hot flushes, night sweats, brain fog, stress, and anxiety — I understand how disruptive and unsettling this stage of life can feel.
Like many women, I found that support for the emotional and psychological impact of menopause was limited. This led me to deepen my understanding of menopause mental health — not only for myself, but so I could better support the women I work with.
My approach to menopause counselling support
I use a whole-person approach that looks at:
- your thoughts and emotional responses
- your nervous system and stress levels
- your daily patterns, habits, and lifestyle
This means we are not just focusing on one aspect — but understanding how everything is working together. The aim is not simply to help you cope, but to help you feel:
- more mentally clear
- more emotionally steady
- more in control of your body and responses
I aim to offer a calm, practical, and compassionate space where you can begin to understand what’s happening — and find ways to feel more steady and in control again.

How menopause counselling can support you
If you’re looking for menopause counselling support, you may already be noticing increased anxiety, disrupted sleep, or finding it harder to cope than you used to.
You might still be managing your responsibilities day to day, but inside you may feel more anxious, more overwhelmed, more easily unsettled, or less like yourself.
This is something many women experience during perimenopause and menopause — and it can feel confusing, especially when it seems to happen so suddenly, or when HRT isn’t something you can or want to use.
Ways to work with me
Through menopause counselling, I support women who are:
- experiencing menopause anxiety and overwhelm
- struggling with hot flushes, night sweats, or sleep disruption
- noticing a loss of confidence or emotional resilience
- finding that anxiety, sleep disruption, or physical symptoms are starting to affect how you cope day to day
- looking for support that doesn’t rely on HRT
Support is available online across the UK:
I also share practical support through short videos and guided resources.
