Can I book if I am not in peri-menopause or menopause?
Yes. Although I specialise in menopause mental health, anxiety, overwhelm, hot flush support and midlife emotional wellbeing, I also work with adults over 18 who speak English or Afrikaans and feel my approach may be a good fit.
What can menopause counselling help with?
Menopause counselling can help you talk through the emotional and psychological impact of perimenopause and menopause. This might include anxiety, low mood, irritability, sleep disruption, brain fog, loss of confidence, relationship changes, overwhelm, or feeling unlike yourself.
It can also help you understand how symptoms, stress, sleep, work, relationships and identity may be affecting how you feel and cope day to day.
Is menopause counselling the same as medical menopause treatment?
No. Menopause counselling does not replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
If you are worried about symptoms, considering HRT, experiencing unusual bleeding, or have physical health concerns, it is important to speak with your GP or a menopause-informed clinician.
Counselling can sit alongside medical support by helping with the emotional, psychological and coping side of menopause.
Online courses and self-help resources
How do I access the ‘What Helps Hot Flushes’ course?
You can learn more about the ‘What Helps Hot Flushes’ course here. The course is designed to support women with hot flushes, night sweats, stress and coping strategies, especially if you want to manage menopause symptoms naturally or HRT is not suitable or not your choice.
How long do I need to do the online hot flushes course?
The course is designed as a six-lesson self-help programme. It is recommended that you work through it over around six weeks, so you have time to practise the tools and integrate what you learn.
You can also take longer if you prefer. Many women revisit the tools when working with hot flushes, night sweats, stress and sleep.
Will I receive course access by email?
Yes. After purchase, your course access details should be sent to the email address you used at checkout.
Please check your spam or junk folder if you do not see the email within 15–30 minutes. If you have any problems accessing the course, please contact me.
Can I use the hot flush tracker alongside the course?
Yes. The hot flush tracker can be used alongside the course to help you notice patterns in hot flushes, night sweats, triggers, sleep and coping strategies.
You can buy the Hot Flush Tracker book here on Amazon.
Can I use the course alongside counselling?
Yes. Some women prefer to use self-help resources alongside counselling, especially when they want practical tools for hot flushes, night sweats, stress or sleep.
The course does not replace therapy or medical advice, but it can support you with practical coping strategies.
Can I pay with a gift card, voucher or discount code?
If a discount code is available, you can enter it at checkout. I do not currently offer gift cards or gift vouchers, and I do not currently offer bulk-buy therapy sessions. The What Helps Hot Flushes course may sometimes be available at a discounted price, so you can check the course page for current offers.
